Eating at the Coylet Inn
Please bear in mind, we don't do fast food,
we do good food, as fast as we can!
The majority of our menu is homemade, using locally sourced ingredients, it isn't necessarily "fancy" its traditional home made that looks and tastes great. Everything from our tartare sauce to our bread, baked fresh daily, down to our proper chips made from real potatoes!
This year, we are even attempting to grow some of our own produce, including salad leaves, herbs, tomatoes and beans, not forgeting our free range hens eggs amongst other things!
We like being able to tell you where your food came from, and how it was prepared and cooked - we can because we know.
We source our ingredients locally wherever possible, and stick to our principles of fresh and homemade, not frozen, mass produced and microwaved, which gives us the freshest and finest local seasonal produce play and work with.
With this in mind we can also tailor everything we do to suit your needs, so if you want something special and extravagent, or a set menu tailored to your parties tastes, needs and budget, we have total versatility, we make it ourselves, we dont buy it premade, so give us a call or drop us an email and let us know what you want and we will do our utmost to meet those needs.
Our main menu denotes gluten free and vegetarian options, and we also ensure a vegetarian "special". If you are following a gluten free diet, as well as being able to choose options from our main menu, we also stock gluten free bread, and rice flour to make fish batter, onion rings etc. We also have a gluten free porridge if you stay over and fancy porridge with your breakfast.
Our childrens menu also has a great selection including vegetarian options, as well as being as flexible as possible and including as many of our main menu options. We don't believe in "whatever we can deep fry from the freezer!" kids have taste buds too!.
Because our main menu and specials board are traditional scottish fayre, and based also around what is freshly available to us, the specials are limited, and although we do our best to ensure our main menu is always fully available, due to our location and principles of fresh is best, although we try our best to read minds and to meet demand, sticking to principles has constraints, and supply may not meet demand on rare occasions, in that scenario, we would rather apologise for running out, than serve sub standard, frozen or pre prepared food.
If only we were mind readers and perfect!
Is that too much to ask!
